Stem HPS
The working principle of a heavy particle separator line relies on the air flotation. In simple terms, this allows the separation of non-tobacco-related materials (NTRM) and tobacco. Heavy Particle Separator is used to remove stones and other heavy materials from the stem collected from previous upstream equipment. The heavy particles in the tobacco fall to the ground while the tobacco itself continues its flow. Winnower feeds the separator, and heavy particles are collected under the air lock while lighter particles are transferred upward with airstream. The separated tobacco is transferred pneumatically from the upstream. The tangential separator is operated with 1 fan. The fan collects bleed-off air through the tangential separator and sends the sucked air to the cyclone through the ducting line.
